New Build Mews House in a Conservation Area
Redevelopment of a Mews House in a Westminster Conservation Area
This project was for a new build mews house behind a retained facade in a Westminster Conservation Area, increasing the size of the house by 30%, within the envelope parameters set by the original house profile.
An internal street organizes the circulation spaces along the full height of the house contrasting historic materials with a bespoke staircase with a lightweight contemporary expression. This space is washed by daylight that reaches deep into the footprint of the house
